Nike Set To Release Truly Unique Air Max Plus “Beach Sunset”

Summer is just around the corner, so with warmer days on the horizon, Nike is readying some new releases that will ensure you’ve got the beach look locked down!

One of those is an upcoming Air Max Plus “Beach Sunset”, which marks the debut of this special-edition pair and features a sunset gradient colour scheme and pre-sanded soles for a look we haven’t seen before.

Summer-inspired shoes are nothing new for this silhouette. Indeed, the Nike Air Max Plus has been seen draped in a variety of iconic sun-themed colorways.

Ever since the shoe’s first colourways that launched way back in 1998, which were inspired by sunrise and sunsets on Florida beaches, the retro runner shoe has been front and centre of Nike's spring/summer offerings.

But this time the brand has gone a step further with the brand-new “Beach” colourway that’s complete with sandy soles.

The look features beautiful pastel colours on the uppers, starting with light blue and fading to green, yellow, orange and red, which evokes images of a beautiful ocean and soft, sandy beach.

Underneath, the shoe’s mudguard comes in shaggy suede to mimic the unique texture of sand stuck to the outsides. This also covers the Air pockets, so the usual bubbles aren’t visible.

All of this combines to give the impression the wearer has been walking in the sand along the beach – a truly unique colourway and design that’s nothing like anything the brand has ever released previously.

If you’re someone who likes the classic colourways or you prefer your footwear understated, these might not be to your taste. However, for those in search of unique, limited-edition pairs, these should be right up your alleyway!

If you’re wondering when these will be released, they should be arriving before the end of the month. This means you can have your new kicks just in time for those relaxing strolls on the beach!

Having said that, for the time being at least they’re expected to drop in Asia only with pairs of the trainers available at the Hong Kong Nike store.

However, if the release proves popular, which we’re sure it will, we can perhaps expect to see these limited edition women's trainers land here sometime in the summer.
